چکیده
Background: Extra-articular manifestation (EAMs) definition is not clearly defined in psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Nail involvement, enthesitis, dactylitis has been widely studied however, data are needed on pulmonary involvement PsA. Objectives: We aimed to understand real-life results of lung PsA patients. Methods: From the cohort followed our outpatient clinic, patients who have requested a chest computed tomography (CT) for any reason by department were retrieved from medical records and included this retrospective cross-sectional analysis. All CTs assessed radiologist blinded patients` clinical history findings categorized as parenchymal, airway, pleural lymphadenopathy (LAM). Moreover, that radiologically attributed specific entity such previous tuberculosis (Tb) infection noted. Demographic/clinic including smoking status, concomitant problems, disease characteristics (duration, axial/ peripheral involvement) collected analyzed. Results: A total 80/1072 (7.4 %; 65% female) with mean (SD) age 56.1 (13.2) years study. Median (IQR) duration was 23.5 (55.75) months 36 (45%) had peripheral, 29 (36.3%) axial involvement. For rest 15 (18.7 %) patients, radiographic assessment missing. Smoking status could be 47 (never=40.4%, ex-smoker= 19.1%, current smoker=40.4%). There 14 problem 12 (15%) CT showed 68.8% at least one pathology. Parenchymal seen both non-spesific changes (atelectasis, n= 35; nodules, n=24; ground glass opacity, 9; sequelae fibrosis, emphysema, 7; consolidation, 5, interstitial thickening, 5; cyst, n =4) pathologies apical fibrosis (AF) (n=5) intersititial (ILD) (n=5, NSIP=3, LIP=2). AF linked Tb 1 patient radiotherapy another (Table 1). However, there no pathology 3 (3.7%) all them male. Other airway 28.8% (bronchiectasis, 17, bronchial wall thickness, 10, air trapping 7, centrilobular 4,) 13.8 % (pleural plaque, effusion, 3, n=3). LAM observed around 4% Table 1. Interstitial lung disease in systemic sclerosis: where do we stand?
Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is common in systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients and despite recent advances in the treatment is, at present, the major cause of death. Today, an early diagnosis of ILD is possible, and is mandatory to improve the prognosis of the disease. Pulmonary function tests and high-resolution computed tomography remain the mainstay for the diagnosis of SSc-ILD, but there is...

متن کاملUsual interstitial pneumonia in rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease.
Interstitial lung disease is a common manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis; however, little is known about factors that influence its prognosis. The aim of the present study was to determine whether or not the usual interstitial pneumonia pattern found on high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) is of prognostic significance in rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease (RA-IL...
متن کاملManagement of Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients with Interstitial Lung Disease: Safety of Biological Antirheumatic Drugs and Assessment of Pulmonary Fibrosis
Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Accompanying the increased number of reports on the development or exacerbation of ILD in RA patients following therapy with biological disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), RA-associated ILD (RA-ILD) has aroused renewed interest. Although such cases have b...
